Welcome to the Shropshire and Staffordshire National Trust Volunteers website. We are an outdoor conservation group carrying out work on behalf of the National Trust.
We work at a variety of locations across the West Midlands, Black Country, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
They span from the large estate of Attingham in Shropshire to the gardens of Wightwick Manor in Wolverhampton. From the countryside of Kinver Edge at the southern tip of Staffordshire to Hawksmoor in the north. In the middle we enjoy the variety of the gardens of Sunnycroft and Morville Hall and the estates of Dudmaston and Shugborough. What these properties do have in common is that they are continually in need of maintenance.
The work we do is varied and includes hedge laying, scrub clearance, tree planting, woodland management and gardening.
It’s not all work – we also have a diary of social events throughout the year. We hold an annual bonfire weekend with evening barbeque, a Christmas weekend as well as theatre outings, meals out and walks.
